Advisory Board
Michael serves as Co-Chair of Spartan’s Safety and Environmental Council and is a member of Spartan’s Advisory Board. Prior to joining Spartan, Michael served as a Senior Construction Manager for Bonneville Power Administration’s (BPA) Construction and Engineering Department until he retired from government service in 2016. During his time at BPA, Michael successfully led and completed numerous construction projects to include those spanning mountainous terrain, highly restrictive environmental regions, culturally sensitive areas, large river crossings, and complex designs spanning multiple construction competencies.
Michael holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Portland State University and has significant experience in structural engineering, foundation design, support structures, and construction management. During his time at BPA, Michael received BPA’s first Annual Award for Safety Excellence and was an integral member of BPA’s Safety Council.
